MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY ELECTIVE
A student enrolled in this program should have an aptitude in mathematics, chemistry, physics, hematology, immunology, histology and related disciplines. You will spend 4 years for the paper chase, 3 years for academics and 1 year for clinical study.

The medical technologist’s work involves the study, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. With the changing landscape your task encompasses evaluation and improvement of conventional technical processes and the use of the latest complex instruments.
It would be an advantage if you have completed a medical electives abroad that is reflected in your CV. You will stand out from non-mobile colleagues. It’ll catch the eyes of approving authorities in your application for a clinical study or in pursuit of a job.

In this program, you will have the opportunity to analyze samples of body fluids and cells, study the specimens for bacteria and parasites and identify chemicals contained in them, perform blood matching for patients who require transfusions and analyze drug levels in a patient’s blood to determine his reaction to treatment, study test results and communicate the findings to doctors.
You have the option to be assigned in a community center or a hospital laboratory or both. Perform diagnostic examinations in the following specializations:

PHILIPPINES – CAPIZ
Capiz is known as the “Seafood Capital of the Philippines” and is the 15th most frequently visited place. Its capital city is Roxas. It is home to the famous coral-stone Santa Monica Church in the town of Pan-ay that has the largest bell in Asia. Made up of 70 sacks of gold and silver it weighs over 10 metric tons and measures 7 feet in diameter and 5 feet in height. Interaction with residents pose no problem, they speak English aside from Tagalog, Capiznon and Hiliganyon. Are you feeling homesick? KENYA – MOMBASA
Mombasa City is the capital of Mombasa County and is the second largest city in Kenya. Swahili and English are spoken by the 939,000 hospitable residents.
It is located in the Eastern coastline of Kenya which made it a popular destination spot for beaches teeming with marine life and world-class hotels. Water activities await beach lovers.
